I was in Delft only for about 1 year ++. Bukan tempoh yang lama to discover so many things di tempat orang. Tapi still banyak memories yang I would like to keep in my mind and my heart forever. Delft was the place where me and husband started our married life after being apart merentas macam-macam benua for almost 6 month. So yeah, I will really do miss Delft.
Delft is a small city in the province of South Holland. Delft tidak la kebandaran atau kekampungan sangat. tengah-tengah la lebih kurang. But I always like to call it kampung Delft sebab boleh consider as kawasan yang tenang and tak serabut. Alhamdulillah, it was a nice place to live in. View yang cantik, canal yang bersih (at least dari luaran la ;D) suasana yang tenang.
Basically my life was pretty simple there. We were focusing on my husband study, so mostly everything was about making his study going well. So hari-hari my routine was almost the same. Early in the morning mr Husband went off to his office at the University then me doing housework chores, going to shops buying groceries, cooks some simple meals for both of us and going to husband's office to bring him dinner and having the dinner with him if he has to work late. That was what I did most of the day..
Our house in Holland was pretty small since house rent in Holland was so expensive. Our tiny cutie house that consist of small living room combined with an open kitchen, a bedroom with a combined toilet and bathroom in it and a balcony was about 640 Euro including the gas, electricity and water. since the space wasn't that big, it is important to always make sure the house is in a good state. What could be more worse than a small messy house kan. So at least I should make it comfortable to live in. Tapi memang a bit challenging la sebab semakin lama our stuff semakin banyak and we really need to organize our stuff well..
Hugo De Grootstraat was really a memory. That was the first house I lived in with my husband. we also had Malaysian neighbor upstairs. So we always had our makan-makan and whenever I feel kind of bored I can just head upstairs to play with two budak kecik and their cutie mom. Walaupon kecil alhamdulillah sempat merasa ajak kawan-kawan datang for a visit dan makan-makan. My kesayangan umi dan abi pon dah berpeluang staying at our small house. Thanks for the memories Hugo
As everyone knew, Holland is known for bicycle as their main transport. I think almost everyone have their own bike in Holland and they have all sorts of bicycle. Even the 'school bus' is a bike. Cycling is one of the thing that I love doing there. I just love going down to the town on my bike. Kalau terlupa beli barang walau hanya sekadar roti or susu memang tak teragak-agak untuk keluar berbasikal ke kedai..
At first I was a bit scared riding the bicycle since there are rules also for bikes. There are bicycle lanes, traffic lights for bicycle, and you have to give signals whenever you want to go right or left.. macam bawak kereta pulak kan. Apa yang lebih menakutkan everyone bawak basikal dengan sangat laju.So you really need to obey the rules. memang boleh kena saman kalau tak ikut peraturan. At night you have to make sure to have the front and back lights on your bikes or else get ready untuk disaman la.

Cheese is one of the main dairy product of Holland. I wasn't really a big fan of cheese..but I do love cheese. I love having lots and lots of cheese on my pizza and lasagna. I love cheese cake so much. No wonder la kan berat badan naik tanpa segan silu bila duduk sana. But I can only eat bread and cheese alone setelah hampir setahun di sana. Unlike my Mr Husband hari-hari lunch bawak roti and cheese. Memang mudahla kan kerja si isteri ni kan. Tapi it was a bit weird at first for me.
Mr Husband's lunch
One of the famous Turkish dish: Kapsalon also dipanggil kalori bomb by en suami sebab banyak cheese
Lasagna: Cheese yang melimpah ruah
Fresh flowerss..fresh fruits and vegetable..
I think that should be it for now. Even benda-benda kecil that happens in Delft was a memory for me..
WhatSoEva~ Alhamdulillah..alhamdulillah for all the nikmah that Allah has given. I feel blessed to have the opportunity living in another country walaupon hanya untuk masa yang singkat. I feel blessed that I am now back in my hometown with all my love ones. Setiap tempat pon ad its own uniqueness. Travelling will always open up our mind and our heart to all the nikmat and Allah's greatness. May one day I will have the chance to travel again to see this beautiful world, insyaAllah.
Till then, insyaAllah
May Allah Bless~
